My name: DoroDoris, I have spent several wipes on this server and witnessed fluctuations in pop, spirt, and people. Always sitting on the sidelines teetering on the edge of a ban for ... my idiotic decisions. Lone Wolf has grown, shrunk, expanded and thrived. However, I'd prefer if my reviews weren't influenced entirely by peer pressure as the server discord coerces me into reviewing.
I first joined this server with a pop that did not even reach the double digits, and there was only two staff members. The biggest draw of this server is that staff do not interfere with gameplay, as a former staff member I can confirm that staff members do not play as players on the server. The community is amazing, and the rules are very fair for a solo only. I highly recommend this server and is one I put 200 hours in.
I am pretty new to rust, ~500 hours, but I can say this without a doubt, Lone Wolf is by far my favorite server to play on. I have servers with friends and I love playing with them on those servers, but nothing compares to jumping into a vanilla solo adventure. I have learned way more about this game playing on this server with the amazing community and amazing admins and owner, than I could have ever learned playing with friends. Could not thank papa enough for creating this amazing server.
I have 6k+ hours and over half of that has been spent on monthly servers getting bent over the kitchen sink by zergs. This is by far the best solo server I've ever played and sets the standard for how a server should be operated. The admins are scary good and enforce the rules STRICTLY. I've always had issues with cheaters and this server really has a pulse on keeping them at bay.
I have 1000 hours on the server, nothing comes close to it. The server owner is a complete chad and his staff team are professional and responsible. This server is always a good time and I don't see myself playing on other servers.
I recommend reading the rules on lonewolfrust.com so you don't get inconvenienced or worse, get perma banned.
All the bad reviews are definitely from the half dozen people who get banned for being racist, phobic, and overly toxic each day for sure.
